Cayuga Medical Center

A research-based design for a 20,000 square feet (1858 square meters) conceptual psychiatric hospital wing that provides in-patient care and mental health support for young patients. The wing would theoretically be an extension of the existing Cayuga Medical Center.

The primary focuses of the spatial design were identified through research: Deinstitutionalization through improving staff safety, and increasing access to nature and social interactions.
